SMK3

Occupational Health and Safety or abbreviated K3 is a government program. This program was born out of concern for the number of workplace accidents that resulted in misery for workers mapun working families. Because of the frequency of accidents is not so much, so much to look at one eye on the program. Employers say, this cost or dispose waste costs. Workers commented, slow work. Because the cost incurred for an incident many accidents would be much higher than that spent on prevention. For workers, if it is exposed to injury or fatality, would not dare to say again that it's just slow job K3.

If you are a small company and the nature of the work does not contain hazards or high risk, then you just hire a safety officer or general K3 expert. Because, all workplaces are at risk or danger. That is the definition of workplace according to Law No. 1 1970. So, you have to stay alert to the dangers latent in the workplace. If it is not the physical danger of instant, of the threat of disease that may occur many years later.

So, it's time employers and workers and the Ministry was aware K3 to further improve performance in all organizations in Indonesia, because the number of work accidents in Indonesia is still higher than other negara2 in Southeast Asia, and even in Asia.
